I’m Heading to Jerusalem! – And I Need Your Help!
I am excited to share that I am going to be completing my Master’s Degree in Biblical History at Jerusalem University College (JUC), an American run university located just south of The Old City wall of Jerusalem on Mount Zion!

What I will be Doing
This is a wonderful opportunity, not only to further my education and study the Bible in the land where the Bible was written, but also to follow God’s call on my life, to help others understand and engage with the Bible in new and exciting ways. During the two years that I am there I will be:
- Taking classes on the History, Archaeology, and Languages of the Bible.
- Traveling the land of Israel and beyond, seeing the places where the various events of the Bible took place,
- While traveling the land I plan to get plenty of pictures and videos some of which I will hopefully develop into a curriculum for anyone to use and see the places where the Bible happened.
- Experiencing the culture of Israel, and the various people groups who live there.
- This includes many of the Holidays mentioned in Scripture, such as Passover, or Yom Kippur, as well as Christmas in Bethlehem
- Writing lots of essays on all the topics that we discuss in class…
- Keeping a weekly vlog of my adventures and discoveries that I can share with all of you.
- Hopefully plan and organize tours of Israel for my family, friends, and followers.
- Think of this as a stretch goal: This will only happen if I have enough support.
Why I Need Your Help
This is a grand opportunity, and long time dream of mine. The issue is it is also an expensive opportunity. It is a college, with tuition, housing costs, travel expenses (we take a lot of trips around Israel), meals, various expenses etc. The good news is, I have already received a very decent scholarship, covering much of my tuition. The bad news is, that still leaves the housing, meals, and travel expenses which make up the bulk of the cost. Now, I do have some plans in place to help mitigate those costs via private loans (most student loan organizations do not work with JUC), and any freelance or online work I am allowed to do (I cannot hold a job in Israel on a student visa). To truly be able to make the most of this grand opportunity, I am going to need financial support from many of you.
Any support I receive goes to help fund some aspect of my time in Israel:
UPDATE: My scholarship has been upgraded to a FULL Tuition Scholarship!
- Tuition (After Scholarship) – $0 per semester, $0 per year
- Room and Board – $6,500 per semester, $13,000 per year (not including stay between semesters)
- Field trips – roughly $1,500 per semester, $3,000 per year
- Other fees and expenses (Airfare etc.)
How You Can Help
First of all: Prayer. Prayer is huge and I am grateful for every bit I can get. There are still many obstacles that need to be overcome for this to work out, but I am praying and expecting that God will help overcome those obstacles. Please pray for this opportunity.
Secondly, find ways that I can help you while far away. I am allowed to do some online freelance work, so if there is anything you need help with that I can do, be it helping update a website, design some graphics, write articles for a blog, etc. Let me know, any income I can get will be more than helpful.
If you want to donate money to my education and travels, the easiest way to do so is through my Go-Fund-Me:
Finally, keep an eye out as I may be able monetize some of my work while overseas. If so, I would appreciate any support you can send my way for that purpose. These will most likely come from my YouTube channel or my Patreon page
